The St. George Secured Personal Loan allows you to use your car as security in order to receive a lower interest rate than you would otherwise receive. With the Secured Personal Loan you have a few options to choose from. There is the option to choose a fixed interest rate, where you will receive peace of mind that your repayments will not change for the term of your loan, or you can choose a variable interest rate where you will not necessarily know your interest rate from each month but you will be able to make extra repayments each month.

The term of your secured loan is also your choice with the fixed interest rate loan  you could choose a term of 1 to 5 years for fixed interest rate loans or with the variable interest rate loans you could choose a term of up to 7 years. 

Watch out for the fees associated with this loan there is an establishment fee of $195 and a monthly administration fee of $9. These are worth considering when looking at what loan to take out. It is also important to note that to qualify for the lower interest rate, any motor vehicle offered as security must not be more than 12 years old upon loan expiry.
