The Bankwest Hero Transaction Account earns credit interest (up to balance of $5,000), has no maintenance fee and provides unlimited access to Bankwest facilities, including over-the-counter, Bankwest ATMís, Phone Banking, Bankwest Online Banking and Cheque Access.
The advantage of this account is that there are no account fees. There is an interest rate of 5.00% per annum on all balances up to $5000. This account includes a fee-free and interest-free Safety Net Facility of up to $100, which means that we will honour payments that overdraw your account by up to $100 without charge.
However, you must deposit a minimum of $2000 per month. You may get charged for other bank ATM access and foreign transactions. There is also a $15.00 fee for each over drawn transaction they honour subject to a maximum of $45 per day. $5.00 will be charged to the account per transaction for cash withdrawals, balance enquiries and denied transactions made using overseas ATMs.
The interest AER is 5% p.a. and the interest is paid monthly. The overdraft rate is 18.01% and the interest gross is 5.00%. To be eligible for this account you must be at least eighteen years of age and be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
